Can't get higher resolution settings in DA2

I am running on Windows Vista(64bit version), and have Direct X 10. I have downloaded and installed the high resolution texture package, but the HIGH and VERY HIGH video settings are still shaded. ...

I can only comment about the "Very High" settings. There is no other option than Dx11 to handle that level.

The Microsoft package for getting DX11 onto a Vista machine isn't part of a SP or patch (although it does require SP2).
It's MS KB971512.

Thx for the feedback. DA2 itself tells me(when I try and select Direct X11 as a renderer) that it is only supported by Vista SP2 or Windows 7. I know my Vista is totally up to date as well as my graphics drivers, byt when I try to install DX11 it tells me I have the latest version already installed? WTF
