Can't remove class restriction on armor

Usually, crafting a heavy armor and adding silverite or snoufleur skin will remove the class restriction so any class can use the armor. However, crafting an item with any of these will no longer remove this, it will still be restricted. Is there a way to fix this or is it something that needs to be fixed with a patch?
