Conversation/Cutscene FPS Unlock Fix is NOT WORKING?

Hello, everyone!

I've tried to unlock the framerate of the conversations with the command "fix" I've found on various videos and websites. I've appended it to both my desktop shortcut and to the game options in Origin, but there's no difference. On mostly medium to high settings I get a very solid 60 FPS when just exploring and it dips to around 52 when there are combat particle effects going on... but the cutscenes are still abhorrently choppy and it's killing me knowing they SHOULD be higher. Is there another workaround I could try?

My specs are as follows, if it matters:

Windows 7 SP1

Intel Core i7 2600k @ 3.4GHz

16GB DDR3

GTX 760 2GB

Thanks!

That is because the game renders the cutscenes at 30FPS no matter what YOUR settings are.

That was a design decision on EA/Bioware's end.

The "fix" you refer to is not a fix, but a bandaid or temporarry workaround until the game is patched.

If your game is still stuttering, try chaning the "60"'s in your command line/launch option to "30"'s

I have noticed that they are sort of smoothed out a LITTLE - i.e. there are bits of seemingly uncapped motion but despite the fact that the FPS counter in those cutscenes rarely drops below 50 they stutter a lot and are still generally unattractive to watch. Could it be something trying to balance framerate spikes? I'm going to turn VSync off and see if that maybe fixes it a little. Here's to hoping.
