Crashing during the load screen when starting a new game.

So far I've tried these methods to fix the crash and I was wondering if anyone knew anything else to try.
-Windows and Drivers up to date
-In-game settings are set to its minimum
-Set the affinity to one core.
-ran it on DirectX 9
-reinstalled PhysX drivers with legacy
-Playing the game in Windows XP (Service Pack 3) compatibility mode
-Using a pre-patched 4gb executable
-Verifying the game files.
(I've tried this twice and both times it only removes the 4gb exe and gives me the original pre-patched executable file. Using the original gives me a steam error saying it had a run error and failed to update)

I'm on Windows 10 and trying to play the game through steam.

these are my specs:
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHz 3.50 GHz

Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable)

GPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

    @Oh_god_its_Evan

    Kind of a long shot but check that your display is connected to your GPU and not the motherboard video output, thanks.
