Make sure EA app and Steam are closed.

Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.

Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER

Delete the "License" folder.

To confirm are you using anything like a VPN?

If not, can you try running both the Steam and EA app clients as admin, verify DA2, and try to rerun it?

If you're asked to sign in, try using your EA account and confirm if you can enter the game.

@EA_IlliumIf you people would solve common issues with legacy titles on modern platforms then most people would likely believe EA is turning into a good publisher after so long. People love retro games.

It is actually easy to win hearts of people, you just have to try it.

Only good thing EA did after like 25 years is releasing legacy games to Steam and releasing College Football recently. Plus final FIFA ost.
