DAI Camera spinning

After a few months of not playing, I started a new save on dragon age inquisition and have since encountered a bug that's rendered my game unplayable. Whenever my cursor reaches the edge of my screen, my camera starts spinning uncontrollably. I've done everything I could think of, including removing all controllers, turning down camera sensitivity, repairing, and updating drivers. Nothing so far has worked. I've checked several other games and none of them have had this problem. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

  • Managed to solve this by disabling Logitech Download Assistant in the startup tab in task manager. Anyone else with this problem should try doing the same for whatever program in startup might be effecting your mouse. If that doesn't work for you, try running a clean boot and going down the list, checking inquisition in between takes. Best of luck to all!

  • Try resetting all your game settings by deleting ProfileOptions_profile. This is a file that can be found in the save folder: Documents - BioWare- Dragon Age Inquisition - Save.

I didn't have a spinning issue, but my camera would sometimes skip if I turned turned right, but not left. Wonky cameras can sometimes be fixed by the method I described, but it's no guarantee.

This didn't work, but thanks so much for trying :') I don't suppose you have any other ideas?

I suppose you could try switching between full screen and windowed mode to see if that solves anything. If you have a different mouse, try that one instead to rule out a hardware problem.

Just to be clear: Are you toggling mouse look? Or is this the default mode where mouse movement shouldn't affect camera angles at all (unless right mouse button is held)?

I tried both suggestions just now with no luck. I've been using the default mode but I toggled mouse look a few days ago when the problem first started. I'm linking my dxdiag in case it helps sort this out. Thanks again for all your help!

I'm afraid I'm out of ideas. I hope someone else will be able to offer more helpful suggestions.
