I seem to have a similair issue, my fps drops down to 8 frames if i look to the east/left of a map. It happens in every map, and it dosn't matter what is to the east. It dosn't matter what settings or resolution im playing with.
My loading times also takes forever, while my two friends can play it on high just fine on a gtx 670.
I got a GTX 770 4GB, 8GB Ram, QuadCore 3ghz, Win7

Hey, I got a similar problem.
I played the game for about 100 hours so far. Now suddenly it starts *lagging*. BUT only if I am in *The Western Approach* area.
And it does not matter if I run, turn around, loot, open the map, fight... anything even if I just stand there suddenly the game will be VERRY slow to react and it will take some time until it goes back to normal. Thing is, its every 30 seconds or so and it does not always last the same lenght.
I tried switching off everything and grafic to really bad, but still this happens. even If I just open the Menu.
I also got a NVidea. And as I said it only happens in the western approach...
Anny suggenstions? I can´t play it with that much lag. (would like to post a video, but dunno how to make one while playing... )

Thanks for the details bsofferl. I'm curious, if you have an earlier save can you double check if the issues you mention in The Western Approach still manifest?
If the earlier save has no issues, could you PM me the DAS file for your later save? I've seen a small number of reports of isuses at the very late game and I'd be interested to see if the issue can be replicated on another machine.
