DAI GOTY DLC installed, not showing up (Gifted ver.)

I have already had a live chat with one of their help reps, but he couldn't really find anything to fix my problem. I have all the DLCs for the GOTY edition downloaded and installed but they are not showing up in game, I have repaired the game, I have uninstalled Origin and the game/reinstalled. Nothing is helping, I have read somewhere that it might be caused by it being a gifted version but I can't fix that, I'm supposed to hear back from a specialist but I don't know how long that takes.

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix it let me know, if not and anyone else is having this issue, if they ever get back with me I'll let you know if it's fixed.

  • As  far as I can tell this is the answer, my fiance who gifted it to me also has a gifted version where she got in contact with customer service over the phone where they came to trying the same solution which fixed it! All I can guess the issue is, is that DAI tries to verify the paid DLCs and has issues due to it being a gifted game and not one you bought yourself.

    I'll try contacting them again, it really shouldn't take this long to get this done, I mean she sat next to me and made a call where the rep helped fix it and I've been waiting about 15 hours for even a reply from someone. Honestly the DLC authentication system is making playing a game you purchase much harder than it needs to be, hopefully EA will work on fixing the gifting issue after this.

    *EDIT* So I finally made a new ticket and re-contacted customer service, with a little persistence and insistence towards the gifted version being the issue he changed it and had me log out and back in. I am only in Haven but now have access to the DLCs that weren't working including BE.

    So if you have a gifted copy be sure to get in contact with EA support and get them to switch it to a normal copy so that you don't run into this issue, if you're reading this and might be getting a gifted copy it might be safer to just ask for the money for it and make it easier on yourself!

  • @VirtualEVE All I can suggest for now is to contact support again. If necessary, direct them to this thread, the OP had the same issue as you (seems to be going around at the moment, unfortunately) and it was fixed by support by removing the gifted version from their library and having it replaced with a... non gifted version.

    Thank you to everyone who posted in this thread. I'll flag this on my end, hopefully the issue will just go away, and we can have a more consistent experience if there are any similar issues in the future.
