DAI mouse not working
at times my mouse when im playing mostly in conversations will stop working forcing me to alt-tab to get it to work i have origin overlay disabled and it still happens

I have that problem to, buuut say you are at the war table looking at the Orlais and Ferelden cards and you can't select them with the mouse. Hover the mouse over the country you want and click both left and right buttons similtaniously. That should make the card selectable. On the text wheel simply move the mouse into the wheel and both button click until the wheel lights up. It's still a pain in the **bleep**, but it should work better rather than alt/tabing all the time.
