DA:I The Descent - Unable to level up.

Since I purchaised 'the Descent' dlc for DA Inquisition I have been unable to level up my heros past level 27. The XP bar is full but I have not levelled up. I checked and it's stated there is no level cap for DA:I elsewere and as such I wanted to verify wether this is the case or if I am experiancing a glitch and if so is there a fix avalible. I tried restarting but it didnt help.

Some information to help if it is a glitch

I'm playing on the Xbox 1 platform.

My protagonist has not levelled up since entering the deeproads (lvl 28 would have been the first level up since arriving).

The game has stopped registering xpand I have not seen the XP far for a while.

Hope thats useful. I appologise if I've posted in the wrong place, this is the first issue I've had with the game.

Level 27 is the level cap. You can't level up any further. Congratulations, you maxed out!

Wow, what an odd number for a level cap. I would have at least thought it would be 30 or something. I was level 26 when I entered Descent (after about 90% of the game was finished and Jaws of Hakkon completed). I thought it was interesting that virtually every enemy defeated awarded upwards of 300 exp each but then when I hit level 27 it stopped. Those Alpha Ogres alone gave me 5000-6000 exp each.

Oh so it is the Level Cap. I wasn't sure since I was pretty much there when I started the DLC.
Thankyou both for your replies. I can start my nightmare playthrough now (really didn't want to try completing it if stuck at level 1 lol).

Awww man... I just restarted my deep roads progress because I thought it was a bug since I was under the impression that DA:I had no level cap. (I remember somebody from Bioware saying in an interview "the key is to not have a level cap."). This sucks since I need to replay an hour of game time and my dreams of reaching level 30 are shattered. ☹️ I'm kind of an over leveling fiend.
