DAO - No player profile but game registered
Hello,
I would like to play DAI on 360 but I cant import my DAO data in the DA Keep.
I note that I have on Bioware Social Network regarding DAO :
- no player profile in statistics;
- profile diagnostic says "Invalid personna / game combination"
However,
- on the page "my games - registered game", I can see that my DAO game has been correctly registered;
but
- on the page "my games - player profiles", I have no player profile line related to DAO (obviously I ve played a lot of game cessions duly saved). On the other hand, my player profile exists concerning the other Bioware games I played but nothing for DAO.
My first understanding is : maybe if I remove the registered game and then I register it again, the issue would be solved, but I am not sure about that.
Please help me to resolve this issue.
Best rgards
PS Sorry if my english is not perfect....
Basically, if you never played while connected to the dragon age servers, Bioware never created a profile for you. And there is no way to create a profile now, the servers no longer collect data for current DAO playthroughs. That thread is really for trying to get people who have a profile to get that information synced to the keep.
The only difference getting that data synced to the keep does is import the character screenshot used as an avatar on the game screen in DAO, and to import achievements. They updated the Keep to allow you to change the name of any Hero you create, so you can choose the gender/class/race combination you want and change the name. But that is really just a placeholder anyway, the name and picture are never used in DAI, the character is always referred to as the Hero of Ferelden.
Since you don't import any other save game data and you have to manually set all decisions in the Keep, syncing just adds a touch of customization, but is not necessary to create a world state that will be used in DAI.
My information is a bit old, as I haven't used the Keep in a couple months, so perhaps there have been some improvements you can find in the official FAQ, but some people were just out of luck and their DAO data could not be synced to the Keep.
