Ok so I figured it out apparently with it on direct x 11 the config file will not let me swap res settings after I ran the config as a admin and changed it to direct x 9 I was able,to mess with the res settings and get it to start

I've already tried every video settings and every display available nothing works

@BuBu1909; You're sure you've got things set to DX9 as the Renderer? That's not something you can adjust directly with the in-game options.
Also, I'm running with a GTX 1060 and having no problems (although the game was initially installed back when I had a GTX 770.)

I've check dragon age origins configuration on platform it says "Direct X version: Direct x11 (Aug2009) or later" How do i change the version of direct x the game is using
