DAO Keeps Crashing

Hi, uh newbie to Dragon Age here!

I bought the ultimate edition on origin and I've reached all the way to meeting Alistair's sister in DAO, although I know that kind of varies... Uhm but, long story short I installed mods and have experienced no issues until now. Maybe the mods might be the problem but I have absolutely no clue.🙂

Basically, whenever I try to load any save from my progress the loading screen will crash, and I don't know why. 😳

Here's the mods I installed through Nexus.. if that might be help? 🤨

Also it could just be like I have to re-download the game but I'm exploring other options first...

And yes... I've tried turning my tower off and on...🤓

  • You should be able to disable some mods in the 'downloadable content' section of the menu. See if that allows the save file to load. If it works, you can re-enable some mods until you find the culprit. If you have mods in the override folder, you can temporarily remove them.

If disabling mods does nothing, try a repair by right clicking the game in Origin and clicking 'repair game'.

  • Quick warning, Improved Atmosphere is probably your culprit because it is known to cause issues and not play nice with other mods. My thoughts would be - if you are up to it, lose IA - otherwise try to remember if all of your saves you have are from a certain area or from multiple areas. If all within a certain area I'd be pretty confident that IA is your issue and you have a file conflict. If they are from different areas then IA is probably not the issue but rather your saves got corrupted or some other issue is occurring. You might want to consider trying this: 4GB Patch – NTCore to see if it is a problem with the virtual memory overloading.

Hope you narrow down the culprit!
