Deleted Save/Character recovery help?

I made the mistake of deleting my "Dragon Age" folder from 'my documents'.  I was able to recover a number of .das, .das.met, .xml, what I believe is the appropriate screen.dds file for the character I'm concerned about.  I've made a couple of attempts at recreating the folder hierarchy, but have yet to get the game to recognize my character.  I have a boatload of .das and .das.met files, and was hoping someone here could provide some guidance.  

I've already completed my entire Origins play-through, and was a good few hours into Awakening.  I'll be eternally grateful for any assistance attempted and/or provided.
