We should not have to lower the graphics quality in order to enjoy the game.
I completely agree, especially when we are getting a solid 60+ FPS everywhere, while the hardware is running stable.
I've lowered the quality from Ultra down to Medium, and I haven't noticed any fewer crashes. I'm not willing to try Low.

Going down to Low was the only way I could get them (and the massive artifacting) to stop. Otherwise, it was just as bad as it was on any other setting. The only graphics option I can change without crashing is the mesh quality, which I pumped up to Ultra so I could have normal looking hair. Seems to work perfectly this way.

Well I considered myself one of the lucky ones to not have this error..but after the mission of "Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts"
Spoilerand that Morrigan shows the Eluvian. The error pops up.
In the whole gameplay before this I had used the 14.11.2 beta drivers from AMD. I did update to 14.12 recently but that seemed also okay, until now...
