I am not 100% sure, but it seems that the latest NVIDIA driver 347.52 has solved some problem with crashing to desktop during cutscenes.
I have a GeForce GTX 660. I was constantly crashing if I didn't tap Esc rapidly.
Last night I was able to view the entire sequence starting in Haven until you finished all introductions at Skyhold. I was able to make a save in the main hall without crashes.
Today I watched the complete cutscene with Hawke and the first scene with Josephine on the inquisitors balcony. No crashes.
I have noticed some changes in the way the graphics work though.
A short freeze occur for half a second now and then. This happens during battle, exploring, in menus and dialogues. Sometimes the special effects during battle happens in slowmotion for a second. In this case it looks rather fancy though.
It is not annoying as such. If this is the price for being able to watch the cutscenes I'd gladly pay it. It means I am able to take it easy and have time make the right choices.
But as I said, I can't be 100& sure. It just looks like as if the problem is solved to a certain extend.
