I have played the first 89 Hours of DAI with only about 3 DirectX crashes. Ever since they patched it 3 days ago I cannot play for more than a couple of minutes without this crash and message:
DirectX function “GetDeviceRemovedReason” failed with
DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG (“The application’s device failed due to
Badly formed commands sent by the application. This is an
Design-time issue that should be investigated and fixed.”) GPU:”AMD
Radeon R9 200 series", Driver: 14.12 AMD Catalyst Omega Software

Does anyone know a fix? I tried disabling Origin in game and putting post process to low but it made no difference.
I see it seems to mainly be people who have NVidia cards but I don't. Not sure what to do, they broke the game by patching it.
So what now stop playing DA until they patch it again and hope that one fixes it?
I'm tired of buying games that don't work because companies want to start cashing in and figure we will all just have to sit and wait for them to fix bugs, if they ever even decide to. There was a time when games were released they actually worked and patches were rarely required....
The only solution seems to be to buy the game when it has dropped off the scene and is selling for virtually nothing, by then every patch should be out and you don't have to go through this. This is my usual strategy, but I bought DAI too soon. Should have waited till it was dirt cheap.
I found that setting all the graphics settings to medium and post process to low. Running in Borderless Window and Origin in game disabled the game will run and not crash, on my system anyway.
If I try tweak the settings up one by one the game will crash to a white screen after playing a minute or two.
I have only managed to max out Mesh with no crashing.
Medium settings may work for you, if you're prepared to play with such low graphics settings 😕mileymad:
Personally I didn't buy my expensive hardware to play new games with graphics settings on anything but max.
Really EA fix this problem we pay good money for these games.

I take back what I said. Now even on medium settings the game will crash at a random time to a completely white screen.
Ctrl Alt Del and end the game.
I have also received a DirectX error saying I had removed my graphics card while playing!?!
I have given up on playing it. Only thought is to uninstall and reinstall and block Origin from accessing the net so it doesn't patch the game. I hate all these 3rd party systems like Origin, Steam, Uplay etc they force you to install patches and too bad if you don't want it. Or you want to roll back one patch. I much preferred it when we had to download and install patches manually you could set a restore point and if anything went wrong just go back to that and not install the patch. Also it saved your bandwidth if you ever reinstalled the game as you have already downloaded the patch. Not everyone has superfast lines like you guys in America and the UK.
Wonderful launching a game only to find sorry you cant play until this huge patch has been downloaded over the next 6 hours.
