I to am having this and as other hjave mentioned it has only come after patching.
Previously I have played for about 120 hours without any errors, now however. i cant even get past the end of the first act...
For what its worth my specs are below. And for those who have asked about temperature my system is water cooled and nothing has even gotten close to the temps I have pushed it to in the past.
I have tried running it with all settings at medium and while i see this as a really crappy workaround (really we play on pc because we want the best graphics ) it does delay crashes however they eventually come.
I have also tried disabling antivirus and everything else suggested, and nothing seems to be a permanent fix. Would really love some feedback as to why this is happening all the sudden. Wasn't bioware gloating about beta testing there patches for bugs to make sure there was no errors in there patches? How did they miss this whopper?
Has there been any word from bio-ware or ea about this?

Same problem here. No overclocked CPU, DirectX re-installed several times, re-installed and updated graphic drivers, tinkered with graphic settings etc.etc.etc...
In order to avoid any CTDs, I have to skip every friggin cutscene. I missed half the game so far and it's starting to suck big time. I feel like the patch made it worse. Before the last patch, some cutscenes worked and it started to crash after one or two hours, now it's every single cutscene that I have to skip.
I mean, I can play the game, skip through every event and try to find the right cutscene on Youtube. Big fun. Seriously.
- 10 years agoThat's strange as I find it crashes sooner if I try to skip cutsceens.
