Does attributes increase automatically in Dragon Age: Inquisition?

Hi!

I'm at level 4 in dragon age inquisition and noticed that my attributes are still the same as when I was at level 2. I haven't used my skill points either and removed all of the gears off my mage. Is it a lag/glitch of some sort?

Greets Alan!

  • Attribute points are granted by the skills you choose that are not active skills.  You will see a skill say for a mage that grants you more freezing and it will also say +3 willpower or some such, thus if you pick that skill you will have more freezing and your character will get 3 points added to their willpower score.

This is a way to have a have "real stats" in the game, but basically make them mean jack squat.

Yes to what? Does attributes increase with one point everytime you level up?

There's pretty extensive discussion of this over on the BW forums

My understanding is that you get some of your primary stat, but the majority of your growth is from your gear and passives. I've only been playing normal and hard though. I've been waiting until my NM run to really get into the nitty-gritty of the stats.
