@perkycarrot; I'm confused.
What "three developer console" are you talking about?
If it's the built-in "Command Console", then the way to activate it is:
- Right-click on the game title in your Origin Game Library
- Choose "Game Properties"
- Choose "Advanced Launch Options"
- Enter the following as the "Command Line Argument":
-enabledeveloperconsole - Save the change
- Start the game
When you're in-game, the " ` " (accent) key is the trigger/toggle for activating it.
Be advised, nothing you type into the console will appear on-screen, so be careful and don't make any typos. (You'll know it's active if you can't move Hawke!)
Thank you for the info, but I don't think I have the game properties folder.
- Unless you meant properties under the Dragon Age 2 folder? I can't find command line arguments.
@perkycarrot; What version/installation of DA2 do you have? Steam? Origin? Retail disc? I had presumed you were running with a standard EA/Origin install. But your mention of "folders" confuses me. You won't interact with any of the game's folders directly if you're using Origin to launch it.
As noted above:
- Right-click on the game title in your Origin Game Library
- Choose "Game Properties"
For a retail disc installation the instructions are very similar. Simply create a desktop shortcut to the executable "DragonAge2.exe", and add '-enabledeveloperconsole ' to the "target".
I understand Steam installs require a slightly different process. As I don't use Steam for the DA games, I'm not familiar with that. (But Google is your friend...)
It's Origins. I have googled it. I feel as though I've tried every direction from every site. Mine is through my D drive. I'm not super computer savvy, so I am unsure if drive D makes a difference.
I only want it so that I can past that Ancient Rock Wraith!
Again,
- Right-click on the game's TITLE tile in your EA/Origin "Game Library"
(that's the picture of the game box cover) - Click on "Game Properties"
- Click on the "Advanced Options" tab
- Type " -enabledeveloperconsole " (without the quotation marks) into the "Command line arguments" text box
- Click "Save"
- Start the game
- Hit the " ` " key to activate the Command Console when in-game
What part of that isn't working for you?
- Right-click on the game's TITLE tile in your EA/Origin "Game Library"
When I click on advanced options, nothing happens.I get an option to compress or to archive.
Actually, never mind. I wasn't in the Origin library. I just realized that.
It's still not working, and I followed those directions.
- @ThandalNLyman It actually doesnt work. I’ve pressed ~ button because ‘ “ doesnt even work😂 ~ freezes my movements as if a text bubble is up but no where to be found. I tried typing out the cheat too and nothing
