@perkycarrot; What version/installation of DA2 do you have? Steam? Origin? Retail disc? I had presumed you were running with a standard EA/Origin install. But your mention of "folders" confuses me. You won't interact with any of the game's folders directly if you're using Origin to launch it.
As noted above:
- Right-click on the game title in your Origin Game Library
- Choose "Game Properties"
For a retail disc installation the instructions are very similar. Simply create a desktop shortcut to the executable "DragonAge2.exe", and add '-enabledeveloperconsole ' to the "target".
I understand Steam installs require a slightly different process. As I don't use Steam for the DA games, I'm not familiar with that. (But Google is your friend...)
It's Origins. I have googled it. I feel as though I've tried every direction from every site. Mine is through my D drive. I'm not super computer savvy, so I am unsure if drive D makes a difference.
I only want it so that I can past that Ancient Rock Wraith!

Again,
- Right-click on the game's TITLE tile in your EA/Origin "Game Library"
(that's the picture of the game box cover) - Click on "Game Properties"
- Click on the "Advanced Options" tab
- Type " -enabledeveloperconsole " (without the quotation marks) into the "Command line arguments" text box
- Click "Save"
- Start the game
- Hit the " ` " key to activate the Command Console when in-game
What part of that isn't working for you?

When I click on advanced options, nothing happens.I get an option to compress or to archive.

Actually, never mind. I wasn't in the Origin library. I just realized that.

The console itself and everything you type will be completely invisible. The only way to check if it's working is to try and move, however doing this will enter information into the console line.
For example: If you hit the key assigned to the console and then hit "w" (default key) to move forward the console line now has a bunch of "wwwww" in it that will cause any valid command entered to be ignored (unless you delete everything first). Once you hit enter the command line will deactivate, so you'll need to hit the key to bring it up again.
Here's what "runscript addxp" looks like...
- Right-click on the game's TITLE tile in your EA/Origin "Game Library"
