[Dragon Age 2] DLC Items Missing Names

Hello,

My issue is the same as described in this topic: Dragon Age II DLC item name/location name bug (blank) - Answer HQ (ea.com).

When I go to Gamlen's house to pick up the DLCs items, I realise that the names are missing for the vast majority of them. I can see the statistics but not their name. Black Emporium is also buggy - the only thing I can interact with is the mirror. I've had the same issue last time I was playing DA2 and that was several years ago on a different PC. At the time, I also had trouble with missing dialogues for some of the DLCs.

I also brought the game from Origin. I tried repairing the game and re-downloading it but neither helped. My computer is in French as I am French but the game is in English. It wasn't when I first installed it because it didn't give me the option to choose the language but I later went into the game configuration executable and changed the language (both audio and visual) to English. Maybe that's the source of the problem.

I hope to find a solution. 🙂

    Greetings!

    I understand this post is from a very long time ago and so quite possibly the OP of this thread either moved on from this game or just never found a solution to it. When the game installs all the game's DLC content also gets installed in the original language version it was installed on. I've personally encountered this problem as well after modifying the game's language in the INI files on my computer. Im a French person and the game installed all in french when i installed the game but im a guy that loves to play them in their original version, mostly English so after installing DA2 i went to change the game's language from French to english and thats when all DLC related items and quest got messed up.

    THE EASY SOLUTION and to my knowledge the only fix to this ''bug'' is to set back the language to whatever it was at when the game installed. In other words reverting back my game to French solved the problem for me. I am not aware of any other way to fix this bug so it kind of force you to play the DLC content with the original language it was installed at. Hope this helps people who will encounter this in the future.
