Dragon Age: Inquisition Deluxe Edition (Digital)

I just purchased the game and I started a character without the Deluxe content installing first.  Out of excitement, I jumped right into the game.  I proceeded to later download the content, but am not noticing it appearing in my inventory.  Do I have to make a new character in order to receive the Deluxe Edition content?
