It started working again, and has now been working reliably for several days, and through multiple restarts.
I guess it's stable now, but I don't know what made it start working.
Have you looked into your event log, and see if it lists any crashes or issues with DAI??
Have you disabled Geforce experience all the way up to include un-installing it??
Have you made sure you don't have ANY nvidea sound drivers installed?/
The last two are some things causing issues of others...just something to try...

I had to look up how to use event viewer, as I've not looked into it before, but if I figured it out alright (I'm looking under 'windows logs' at the 'application' and 'system' logs) there is nothing created in those logs when I attept to run the Dragon Age software, niether from within Origin, nor directly from the install directory.
When I first tried to run DA:I I did not have Geforce Experience installed, I only had the nVidia control panel. I installed GeForce Experience as the recommended way to make sure my driver was up to date and that my game settings were optimized.
I was not aware that there was any such thing as an nVidia sound driver. A cursory examination of my sound drivers turns up an 'nVidia HD sound driver', which was apparently installed at the same time as GeForce Experience. I have removed it by your recommendation (I'm sure I didn't need it anyway, as I've been fine without it for some time). There is no change in the behavior of DA:I, however.
try this......
open System> Main Drive> User name you are using> mydocuments> Bioware> DA:I > save
Delete(or move to another location) the last two files in that folder Profileoptions and profileoptions_profile(iirc) and delete any file for Raptor gaming mouse/controlers as well... only things that should be in the folder if any is DAISAVEU#####.DAS files...everthing else should be gone
Try to start the game.
The only file in that directory is the one I created to customize the graphics settings manually.
There is no change after removing it.
