Dragon Age: Inquisition for Mac OS X

When will there be a Mac OS X version? Why was the Mac version not included with the release? I refuse to buy a "PC" just to play a game, no matter how long I have waited for the Inquisition.

The Fortsbite 3 engine which drives Dragon Age Inquisition is currently not compatible with OS X.

You don't have to buy a PC, however. A license of Windows 7 should suffice if your mac is up to spec.

Edit: As stated below by Gorath, you can use software like Boot Camp to dual boot OsX and Windows.

Thank you, I think. I have never owned a Windows platform and I do not understand your statement about licensing Windows 7. Please expand on what you said. Keep in mind I have only owned Macs since 1989 and I have learned to always keep it simple. Thank you again for responding.

Apple sells the same hardware as the rest of us use, just charging more for it, is all. With a small app named "Bootcamp" (free from Apple), and a copy of the Windows Operating system, you can switch between OSX and Windows when you wish to play games. You should be aware that the average Apple hardware is below this game's requirements, and the expense of upgrading keeps most of your peers from using their machines for these high intensity games.

    CPU: AMD quad-core CUP @2.5 GHz / Intel quad-core CPU @2.0 GHz
    System RAM: 4 GB

I can't find an app called "bootcamp".

  You can find it in "applications" -> "Utilities" -> "Boot Camp Assistant".
