Dragon age inquisition: Game does not start, yet no errors [fixed]

When I select "play" on the game from Origin, the game does not start.  Double click on desktop icon also yields same result.  A dialog window opens up saying that it is syncing cloud data.  This app...

Not quite the same issue but here's what's happening with me: I've been playing for about 24 hours, the game launches fine but when I click "load" or "continue" the game will go into a loading screen and stop. I tried to disable origin in game and it still does the same thing. Any idea what's going on with that?
