dragon age inquisition on windows 7

Hi,

I recently purchased dragon age inquisition for PC. On the packet it says Minimum system requirements operating system "Windows 7". I have windows 7 on my pc, but when i go to install dragon age, a message appears saying "incompatible, you need 64 bit operating system"

Why don't you say that on the pack.

I'm telling all my facebook friends - don't buy your games, because the minimum system requirements are not accurate! i.e. it should say "windows 7 64 bit" not just windows 7

As a result, Im taking my game back to the shop for a refund.

Origin and steam sucks because it is not user friendly

  • It does say 64-bit in the system requirements, at least on the official website. Even if it doesn't say so specifically on the game's box, you can't possibly meet the system requirements anyway, because a 32-bit OS is restricted to 3.25GB RAM, and the game requires 4GB (which is why there's a 64-bit requirement in the first place). (Edit: I found an unboxing video on YouTube, and it does say 64-bit on the box. Could you post a scan to show what it looks like on your box?)

    Minimum:

    OS Windows 7 or 8.1 64-bit

@CPU AMD quad core CPU @ 2.5 GHz / Intel quad core CPU @ 2.0 GHz

    System RAM 4 GB

Graphics CARD AMD Radeon HD 4870 / NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT

    Graphics Memory 512 MB

    Hard Drive 26 GB

    DirectX 10

If you have already redeemed your product code, please be advised that you shouldn't request a refund for a boxed copy because it's now worthless. The next buyer would not be able to install the game.

This is why I prefer digital download copies, because Origin and Steam offer refunds on those.
