sadly, I don't think there's much that can be done about it until the game is patched. My cut scenes are better with the fix you mentioned, but the FPS still drops significantly sometimes. It's bad.

Yeah, I'm just wondering if anyone found a setting that may improve things in the interim. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me to be honest. There will be a person standing in front of a wall in a cutscene and my computer will drop down to 28fps, but other times it shows well over 50 or 60fps and still looks choppy. It's unfortuneate because cutscenes and dialog are such a big component of any Bioware game.

Forced 30 FPS on cutscenes is not there just because.
The game is obviously ported from consoles to PC and it has to be there (and it has to cause DX crashes because of that).
3rd party "fix" won't help, wait for the official patch.

Well actually it's not really a third party fix as you're just adding an argument to the end of the executable, and it actually does help. I notice an improvement in the overall quality of the cutscenes personally. I'm going to hang in there for a patch though. Thanks for the feedback.
