Dragon age inquisition Playstation 3 slow game play and audio cut out

I just purchased Dragon Age Inquisition  for my Playstation 3 console and the game doesn't  seem to work right when i enter battles my character seems to lag and the audio cuts out in cut scene's and battles my friend has been saying he has the same problems will there be a patch or do i have to buy a Playstation 4 because money is a issue for me at the moment  and i just spent $75.00 dollars on this game
