two things to try here; completely close Origin and restart it -no pinned to taskbar etc. relog in and see if it kickstarts it.
secondly, uninstall Origin using control panel then run the 'Origin setup' from the first DVD it will report old version and download a 93+mb version, once it's installed relog in and see if that sorts it?
The first part above worked for me a complete restart of Origin stuck with an update solved it.
The second way gives you a complete fresh install to iradicate any issues you may have if the first part doesn't work.
