Regarding the results of playing a trial version, I do not know of any workaround to recover any save, sorry.

The original choices we were offered as Avatar options were very minimal, and only the Moderator types have access now to the fancy looking badge images. At the time I held the Hero's rank, it was only a mark of senior status, not a volunteer moderator level here. Most of the Trial Limit options have a single clock that keeps running the first time the game is started, and pays no attention to whether the gamer is actually playing or not.
The EA Help Center has a very faulty estimated waiting time clock onscreen for the Live Chat that has no real relationship to time unless it is at the 3-4 minute mark and less.
