Dragon age inquisition "unable to connect to EA servers to activate"

This is the exact same issue that I'm having.  I've tried uninstalling the game, uninstalling EA, trying to unlink my account from epic games (can't).  Create a new account to try and then link to Epic Games (can't, it says I don't have the game).  Tried "waiting" because the servers had to be extremely busy on the day that it was being downloaded.  But if that's the case, how was I able to download the game and STILL can't play it?  It makes no sense.
