Dragon age Inquisition valuables

So it seems no one knows what to keep and what to sell.  I went to look at my valuables when I logged in today, and to my surprise, some of them had red parentheses around them.  Even some herbs like elfroot had them.  Anything in my inventory that was needed for a quest had them.  I thought o0h cool they did a patch so i can get rid of some of this stuff.  So I went to sell, and the red parentheses were gone.  I've tried everything and cant seem to get them back. Does anyone know how i did it? PLaying on PC Thx.

I didn't even notice these orange markings until I saw this thread. Just checked my inventory to see if I have the same and at first, no, not even on materials for quests I have active. But then I noticed other category tabs having these markings, all "All" tabs, for some reason my "Armour" tab in upgrades is marked too even though there's nothing in there at all... Also I opened and closed the inventory a few times, and noticed LOADS of my valuables were marked like this, then I opened and closed again and fewer were marked. This is super weird.

That is what has me confused as well is what to sell and not to sell. Currently I've maxed out my inventroy and can't pick nothing up unless I either drop, destroy or sell some things. But there is no way of knowing what can be dumped and what should be kept. And with allot of things going into the valuables and you not being able to sell individual items and have to sell everything in your valuables at once I'm worried about losing stuff for which I need.

We should be able to pick and choose what we want to sell and/or give us a chest where we can store stuff that we don't want to sell til we are sure whether or not we need it.

Another flaw to the game is that the inventory is pretty much the same for all party members. If one has say 60 items they all are carrying the same items. And it just doesn't make any sense to me why they would do this here.

So still no response/hotfix from bioware for this. Really ? a design flaw with a simple hotfix and they cant react in a decent timeframe. How are people supposed to make progress if the inventory is full of **bleep** and you cant tell apart between **bleep** and quest items ?

  • I also get the gold or orange ( ) around some items in "valuables", however some items I know for a fact That I need them to fill a requisition does not have the ( ).  So bottom line unless you have the recipe to look at you simple do not know what to keep and what to sell.  Some of these items are only going to show up in one location, and during only one quest... then later in the game, in a whole different part of the world you get a quest to fill the requisition, and its going to need that one item you sold way back when.  Clue: Never under any circumstances should you sell a ferelden lock.  You WILL need it later, maybe much later.
