Dragon Age inquisition won't launch

I'm in the PST time zone. Machine is a quad core haswell, 48GB RAM, ATI 290x2 Video Card. All drivers are up to date as is Windows. 

When I try and launch the game it says "synching cloud data" and then that windows disappears and nothing happens.

Anyone have any ideas?

    Try a couple of things:

    Turn off the Origin overlay.

    Have origin in Offline mode.

    You can also try repairing the game and see if something got borked in the installation.
