I posted a thread stating the same problem on my Xbox One, but I still havent heard back from anyone.

I never owned any console platform, never wanted to. I do know nor do I care whether any console system has a freely moving cursor on screen. I try helping out with PC configuration probklems.
We're on PC.
Update: I contacted live help. They made me disable all of my running programs in the background and restart my pc and try. Still no luck. I can see the EA / Bioware logo but then it says "Dragon age inquisition has stopped working"

UPDATE #2 I'm able to run it in windowed mode until i try and click to press start at the start up screen. Then I get a message 'Dragon Age: Inquisition has stopped working'
