Dragon Age Inquisition won't start

So I bought Dragon Age Inquisition, and installed it on my computer, but when I try to start the game, it never starts.  I mean I get nothing, my cursor turns into that loading symbol, but then nothi...

    I had the same problem in the last two days. In my case the solution was simply to disable Origin in Game (Right Click on the game in the library --> Game Properties --> General tab --> clear the box "Enable Origin In Game for Dragon Age: Inquisition - Game of the Year Edition").

I had the same Problem on PC all I did is closing every Razor programs (Razor Comms, Razor Synapse, Razor Cortex, Razor GameBooster, Razor Surround and Razor Core). And make sure there is no process of these programs running in the background. Then run Dragon Age: Inquisition as Admin from the Desktop/Start Menu.

If not working try also: Closing every programs in the taskbar.

You can also re-open all these programs after starting the game.

    First: I'm terrible with computers. None of this XQY##MD//blegh code stuff means much to me. BUT I have...

    -Restarted my computer

    -Re-installed DA3 ("I" looks too much like "1" to me...so confusing...)

    -Cleared the cache

    -Run as admin

    -Run with all programs closed

    -Run with all the boxes checked under compatibility (someone's suggestion)

    -Deleted the "Patch" file in the "Updates" file (another suggestion, I restored it from the Trash just now)

    -Disabled "Origin In-game," both for general settings and specifically for DA3

    -Changed the affinity (suggestion)

    -Played offline

    Even so, every time I open it (from Origin or my desktop) it shows a medium-sized black window, and will sometimes cut to full-screen for a second, while my mouse transforms into proper DA style, but all my hopes and dreams are dashed as the screen suddenly disappears, and it's like I never opened it.  The event viewer won't show me anything either.

    When I ran as admin, and said it didn't work correctly, my computer troubleshooted and said it wasn't compatible, but my computer is/has...

    -New

    -Windows 8 

    -Intel Core i7

    -Don't know RAM stuff...

    -NVDIA Geforce 745M              <---------This might be bad, it's a lower number, it needs  "AMD Radeon HD 4870, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT"

    -5.5 GB Memory availible (max 7.9)

    -756 GB storage availible

    -Don't know DirectX stuff....

    Other than NVDIA, RAM, and DIrectX, I know my computer meets all the requirements.  So... now what?  

    If someone could help with this as soon as possible, I would be very grateful.

      I just encountered the same issue as clay729468. Game opens in window, blinks fullscreen, adopts mouse effect, even showing loading wheel spinning before abruptly closing, putting me back into windows with no record in the task manager.

      Im playing on a Surface Pro 3 with an i5 chip. the game along with Origin is loaded on a WD My Passport Ultra connected with USB3. 

      When i bought it i wasnt sure of being able to play it on my setup but gave it a shot anyway. It worked fine (on low settings) and the only issue was with slightly annoying loading times. 

      I played about a dozen hours with 1 crash. I didn't play for about a week and now this keeps happening.

      Please advise.

       Edit: Appears as though the issue occurs when the game tries to shift from a windowed mode into fullscreen. If i have another window open and grabbed, it will continue to load into the opening screen of the game without crashing. once i actually click in the game, it immediately tries to enter fullscreen mode and crashes within a second. This makes it feel like a graphic bug. Is there a way to change the resolution the game starts in without being able to actually enter the in game settings menu?

    To save everyone the headache, the answer is to close all your Razer programs though the Task Manager. Then launch the game through the desktop as administrator.

    I was having this issue of the game not starting (or rather, after checking the reliability monitor - game was immediately crashing upon startup so quickly nothing visible was occurring), tried all the fixes under the sun (re-install, run as admin, clear cache, clear licence, disable origin, re-install vp/.net frameworks, make pagan sacrifices, summon the devil upon EA and watch them fight in battle to see who is most evil, etc, etc) and then finally came across this solution...

    Turned off Razor Synapse. Boom - immediate fix. 

    Turns out this is a simple software/resource conflict...

        @spudrow2006

        Either uninstall the program from control panel if you are using windows, or visit the Razor website for more detailed info on their program.

        Most of these type programs also put an icon in the task bar, which you can usually click on to open menus for them and often close the program....but I don't know if this one does, as I haven't ever used a Razor product, seeing the issues from them I have seen here.
