Maybe I have bad luck or bad timing, because I experienced this same issue two years ago when I first played the game. Since it was such a hassle I just gave up and used the default world state. Now two years later I'm looking to pick up the game again for another playthrough and still the problem persists. I've imported my custom world state from the keep, but when I load the game and start a new file, I'm not even given an option of importing anything, only the default world state is available. The menu gives a prompt of "To import a custom world state, log in and visit the Dragon Age Keep" as if I haven't already done this several times.
I'm on PS4, I am always online and logged into Dragon Age's servers, and my EA account is linked with my PSN. I don't understand why it isn't importing my custom state. I just want a playthrough with fem Hawke for once dammit. ☹️

@PenguinKayla Also moved your post to the current thread, the workaround was discovered several days ago and works for PC & PS4. Unfortunately no such luck for those on Xbox.
@Leora85 thank you for redirecting my post! I’m on mobile and wasn’t able to find dalekroux’s post but I did learn the fix through browsing this thread.
It worked! I unchecked all the boxes under “account” in settings, rebooted the game, and logged into the servers manually, then I was successful in importing my custom world state afterwards. Very grateful for the tip!
it worked for me too, except for the golden nug which still won't appear.
...bummer.
but not catastrophic, i just dump tons of mods into the game, lol.
my golden nug is missing but if I go to a save in trespasser and click on nug it says can not connect to servers have a screenshot but cant post it
I had this same issue trying to start a new game the other day, all I did was swap my custom world 4 with default world in Dragon Age Keep and let the game load the default world so what I chose for my custom world will now be this runthroughs world then just switch worlds to default (when you want another runthrough) in the Keep.
Hopefully this works for the rest of you.

I'm a little confused by what you mean.
Do you start a new game with the default save and then swap it back or do you start a new game with the default then start a new one with the custom save?
I am having the same issue.
It wass working till last week, when i decided i wanted to see the
scenne.
I even delleted my other dragon age keep worlds and kept just one, still nothing.
I close the game, edit dragon age keep, import to DAI, login on Origin, creat a new character, ask to import from keep. It says as if it worked, you play half the game till you discover that you are playing in the same world as the last time, a deleted one, where it will be impossible to see the spolier above.
At the same time, i tried to use the Golden Nug to sync the collectables, and it "failed to connect to the dragon age servers".
I can still play multiplayer, conection with the servers are good. The problem is the sync itself.
Last time i used golden nug and imported the dragon age keep wass last friday and it worked, this sunday it stoped working at all. (PC VERSION)
I'm in the Keep and I don't se how to swap them. Can you explain how you did this?
Click and hold your mouse on the tile you want to move and simply let go of it on top of the other one, they should swap over.
