Dragon Age Origins - Character's Origin not being recognized

I am currently play through a Human Noble Female, and have initially incited a romance between Alistar and my main character, and because I'm power hungry, I wish to rule with Alistar as his 'Queen'(-Regent), yet when I arrived at the climax of the Landsmeet, and used my persuasive skills to pass the check to become his Queen, it said that I was not from a noble family. Rather funny, since my main characte is a Human Rogue, thus I must be from a noble family. Yet this hasn't just occured in this instance, and has been occuring since I first arrived in Ostagar, where I noticed the dialogue choices were different and could fit anyone's Origin (I played through a Male Noble before, and had all the right dialogue changes). I was just wondering if anyone else had run into this as of late, and if they had any clue to fix this. Console commands don't seem to work out so well, and I don't know the Dragon Age Toolset enough to find it. Thanks! 🙂

  • My guess would be "IA".  It makes changes to fundamental parts of the game that can't be undone.  Things get "baked-in" and just stay that way.

In fact, it made some of my saves unplayable after I uninstalled it.  (Even "Force Load" wouldn't work...)

That's the reason I only used it for a short while and will never do so again.

Only mods I think could affect it are...

Improved Atmosphere (does something with the atmosphere of the entire game and the starting origin)

But now I've removed all mods that were in the override file and still it doesn't let me be queen because I'm not from 'a noble family'.

So I'm guessing if the mods affected it, there's nothing I can do now via deleting mods or console commands.

So I guess the solution would be if anyone can figure out the Dragon Age Toolset and which address is the one for which Origin you are part of.

    Thanks for the reply! 🙂
