Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition can't activate?

I am also having this problem.Purchased the original disc.I HATE DOWNLOADS.Only becuase I have limited wireless internet usage.Which is why I stick with bioware and stear away from steam.But any way got the game and no go.I installed the game typed the product key in and double checked to see if it was correct and also went ahead and did the update and still it will not activate.New game never opened.It shipped the day it came out so I doubt its used.You think?
