Forum Discussion
Hi, same here since forever.
I purchased Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition, synced my profile after noticing the lack of uploading but I have never been able to upload my characters nor my screenshots. Only achievements are well updated on my profile (meaning it's half-working). I've tried every solutions offered back then ; opening ports, disabling console, etc. etc. And the more recent ones, listed by EA official helpers ; I even tried on others computers. I did not play Dragon Age 2 before either-- I don't even have a profile for it yet.
When trying to upload a screenshot, I have this message ; "Unable to access your profile storage. The account informations provided may be invalid." (I have a screenshot if needed).
Which is odd since my BSN/EA/DAO account is basically the same, and once again, my achievements are uploaded.
I gave up before, but the announcement for Dragon Age Keep drove me into it again, as many others. Aside from that, it always sucked that it never worked, no matter how hard I squeezed my profile.
Thank you for your time.
DA: O is nearly five years old. The Bioware Social Network site and DA: O were designed and released together. BSN remained buggy during the entire short period that it struggled to exist. Compared to anything Bioware had ever done as a "community reach", it was a total disaster. The business of game character profiles was only the worst of the foolishness that never worked properly.

Hey, I don't want to tell you what to do or be rude, but we're just trying to have help here-- and your post a little out of place. Besides, I don't think putting the blame on the BSN is a good tactic. I, for one, loved it for all its glorious mess and when working, gamer profiles are very nice.

Occasionally, the truth can be painful. That is the case with this practically stillborn concept.

Absolutely correct. The DA character profiles never worked properly, either because the profiles didn't upload, or because your profile wouldn't update. On several occasions, my characters were synced with my profile months after I had finished my playthrough, and it didn't even show the final version of this character.
Fortunately, character profiles aren't very useful, and the upcoming Dragon Age Keep doesn't import plot flags.
- Anonymous7 years agoAs of today there are no answers to the initial thread & Question asked. Only more replies & Insight on more problems with Dragkn Age Keep. Sooo.... Again, Exactly whats the issue? It dont work for me either...

Ok, issue is fairly simple...
1) DAO was designed to work with old Bioware Social web site and uploaded pics and stats to that site.
2) EA/Bioware did away with that site and for a short time kept the background data of this still running.
3) EA/Bioware created the keep to take the place of Bioware social for all new DA games starting with DAI.
4) Keep was originally mining data from the Bioware Social site to make the tapestry.
5) Bioware/EA totally shut down the Bioware Social site background data semi-recently.
So, DAO is designed to upload data to a site that doesn't exist anymore, and the Keep can't doesn't interface with DAO directly. What this means is there is no way for the old game DAO to get data to the keep. If you want your data on the keep, you have to manually go into the keep, and edit the data in, by choosing character, class, history, and choices made for all previous games to DAI.
Can this be changed...yes, but not easily, and there is, at this time, no financial reason for EA/Bioware to do so. The work around is clumsy, but fully functional in that all your data for a play can get to the DA Keep, it just takes a bit of work by you.
