Dragon Age Origins not launching with EA app on PC

For anyone Googling the issue like I did, this solved it. I tried to launch DA2 from Steam, but the EA app would pull up and close and the game wouldn't run.

I had to open the EA app separately by searching Windows for the app and choosing "Run as administrator", go into Steam, press Play on game, and then it worked.
