Dragon age

Hey everyone,

I hadn't played Dragon Age: Inquisition for over a month and decided I wanted to play again, before this break the game was running smoothly with no errors or bugs.

Now, whenever I launch the game, it gives me a black screen for a second then shuts down, no error messages shown.

I looked into it and tried a few fixes:

- I do not have AVG, I have Avast, and it has no Firewall

- Windows Firewall is set to allow DA:I

- I tried deleting my save files, didn't work

- I tried downloading the GeForce game ready driver for DA:I specifically, that didn't work, so I installed the latest driver, that didn't work either.

- I tried shutting off the Origin overlay function, no success

- I tried running repair on the game through Origin, that didn't work either, so I think if I were to uninstall and reinstall the game the problem wouldn't be fixed either.

I have attached my DxDiag, I hope someone can help me because I love this game!

Avast is now the same as AVG.  They bought AVG out, and within a month of doing so, Avast was requiring all kinds of exceptions, or it won't let DA: I run.

I have also tried running it as Administrator or in another compatibility mode but that isn't working either.

So I should get another anti-virus then?

Only if you refuse to learn how Avast exceptions are created.

For some reason, I found that both Avast and AVG bogged down my computer a lot. Bitdefender doesn't. That's why I keep recommending it. I've had it for over a year now and so far it hasn't interfered with any of my games or other programs launching either.
