My PC won't open the file. Does this only work for older PCs? Mine is only a couple years old.

No, it will work on any Windows PC from Windows XP till Windows 11.
Did you unzipped the downloaded file?- QuentonWolf2 months agoRising Novice
I keep getting this when I try.

Is this happening if you start the "4gb_patch.exe" or if you try to patch the "daorigins.exe"?
Please add a DxDiag to your next reply.
A DxDiag is an overview of your PCs technical features and recent software errors.
There is no personal info in it except for the “Machine name” in the second row. (You might delete the “Machine name” line if you wish too.)How to create a DxDiag:
- Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time to open the Run dialog box.
- Copy and paste or type "DxDiag" (Without the quotes) into the new field. > ENTER
- Wait until the green bar is gone > Click on "Save all information"
- Save the file to your desktop.
- Attach the DxDiag file to your reply (paper clip symbol).
