Hi. I've been replaying Dragon Age Inquisition on Windows 11 through the EA app. We had a power outage while I was playing. When I try to open the game now, I get a message form EA that the game is already running. I tried uninstalling the game, I tried uninstalling the EA app, rebooting...nothing works.
Try to repair the game.
(Origin: Game Library > Right-click the game cover > Repair)
(EA app: My Collection > Click on the three dots on the game cover > Repair)
(Steam: Game Library > Right-click the game > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.)
If that alone don't helps:
1. Hit Windows key and X.
2. Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” or "Windows Terminal (Administrator)", whichever option is offered.
3. Inside PowerShell, CMD or Terminal enter “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Checkhealth” without quotes. > ENTER.
4. If errors are found, notify us. If no errors were found reaped steps 1 & 2.
5. Inside PowerShell, CMD or Terminal enter “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes. > ENTER.
6. The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here.
7. After it reaches 100% reaped steps 1 & 2
8. Inside PowerShell, CMD or Terminal enter “sfc /scannow” without quotes > ENTER.
10. Post the message you receive at the end of the processes here.
I did every step. First solution didn't work. Second solution didn't work. Third solution end message was "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.
Still have the same problem, EA thinks the game is running.

I also played yesterday and now I am also unable to play today with the same issue. I am reinstalling the game after uninstalling EA. Not sure how to proceed right now. Going to go down the list
Press the Windows key > Write "CMD" (Without the quotation marks) > Right click on "Command prompt" in the search results. > Run as administrator.
Copy "findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt" (Without the quotation marks) into the prompt of the command prompt. > ENTER.
Upload the "sfcdetails.txt" that is now on your desktop.
Then repair the game again > Test.
If that still don't works, go to your "Documents\Bioware" folder and Move the "Dragon Age Inquisition" to your Desktop > Test.
If that still don't works:
Create a new Windows user account (Administrator) don't use local special characters, use only Characters from the ASCII table
I tried to enter to code you sent into CMD Admin but nothing happened. It looks like this:

I did some googling and figured it out, the FSCdetails file was empty, and the prompt said there were no corruptions. Then I moved the DAI folder onto desktop and tried to open game...same problem. Now I'm trying to create a second user account on my computer and it's not letting me (yes I am the administrator) so I'll try to find a work around. This whole thing is so crazy. 100 hours into the game and this happens because of a power outage.
Ok so this is weird. I just decided screw it I'm done. Too many hours trying to fix this. I went into add/remove programs and deleted EAapp (which I've done about 10 times in this process). AS it was deleting a button popped up to delete or repair. Now I've "repaired" the EA app many times but through the app itself, never through add/remove programs. And damn if it didn't work.
