[EA app] Dragon Age II won't launch

Trying to open Dragon Age 2 caused it to open with the EA app, fine, but now an error message keeps popping and nothing Ive tried works to get around this. Does anyone have any insight into this issue?

Your Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics is as a matter of fact faster than a ATI Radeon HD 2600, it would be sufficient to play DAI.

The "Virtual Environment" error is not uncommon, not to say rather common, for Surface books and DAi in conjunction with the EA app.
It probably has to do with the way Surface books are set up, specifically the virtualisation-based security of Surface laptops.

Unfortunately I don't know a way to resolve this error. You might want to contact Microsoft support about this.

    Try this:

    • Make sure EA app and Steam are closed.
(Not just minimised siting in the try, completely closed!)
    • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
    • Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER
    • Delete the "License" folder.
    • Test
  • Thank you for trying but the same error still popped up. It still says it can't play in a Virtual Environment, though sometimes it just doesn't play without any message at all.

  • I have a surface Laptop 4 and I think that the problem is just I don't have the graphics card needed, I have  "Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics" and the only version of dragon age I can find needs ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB; NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS 256 MB cards. I will just have to live with the fact that I won't be able to play this game for a very long time until one day I have enough money
