[EA app] Dragon Age: Origins Crashes at Ostagar on New Laptop

Because my laptop died, I am now trying to play DAO on my spouse's laptop. Upon reaching Ostagar after the character's Origin story, the game closes, with no error message coming up, either from Steam, the EA App, or Windows. When I restart the game and click 'Resume', it starts to load, stops, and closes. I have read through the older posts, and tried Validating the files through Steam, as well as Repair through the EA App. This has not fixed the problem. I am not comfortable with modding, so I have not done anything involving that. I have two other games released in the same year - "Bayonetta" and "Prince of Persia: Sands of Time" - that work fine, so I don't believe it has to do with the age of the game itself. I have attached my DxDiag file. If you decide to respond with additional instructions, please write them using the file tree convention that Steam does, and bear in mind that my Steam library is on the D: drive, not C: I am also a little slow due to medical problems, so please do your best to keep them simple as well.

Thank you.

Crashes at Ostagar are a very old problem of DAO, often it helps to make the DAO executable "Large address aware".

DAO is a very old game, on old x86 systems a x86 executable could only address 2GB of virtual memory.

This restriction was brought over to modern x64 bit machines if you don't make the old executable "Large address aware".
After that the DAOrigins.exe can address 4GB of virtual memory.

A explanation and the tool to do that whit "DAOrigins.exe" can be found here.

Virus total scan of the "4gb_patch.exe from that link"

Thank you for your assistance. This appears to have fixed the problem, as I completed Ostagar with no crashes. I especially want to thank you for being kind and not treating me like an idiot; that's not easy to find these days.

If the problem arises again, I will post it.

I appreciate you and the time you took to help me solve my issue.
