[EA App] Dragon Age: Origins DLC Not Showing Up In-Game

Hey, all!

I run Dragon Age: Origins through the EA app (using the most recent version of Windows (I think 11)), and I own the Ultimate Edition. I decided to replay after a long while! The EA app says the DLC is installed, but isn't appearing in the game. When I go to the extra content menu, it says there is nothing there.

I've tried repairing the game through the EA app and it still doesn't show up. My AddIns folder (Documents > BioWare > Dragon Age) doesn't show any DLC.

Any tips on what to do?

Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time

Into the new window, type or copy & paste: "%temp%" (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER"

Now your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it.
(If some files or folders can't be deleted, reboot and try again.)

Then:

Go here and download "Revo Uninstaller". (The freeware version, Portable version works too.)

Run "Revo Uninstaller" > Uninstall DAO.

At the end of the main uninstall, Revo will ask you which cleaning method you want to use. > Select "intensive" > Browse

If "Remaining registration content found" is displayed > Select All > Delete > Next

When "Remaining Data and Folders" is displayed > Select All > Delete

Run "Revo Uninstaller" > Uninstall EA app.

At the end of the main uninstall, Revo will ask you which cleaning method you want to use. > Select "intensive" > Browse.

If "Remaining registration content found" is displayed > Select All > Delete > Next

When "Remaining Data and Folders" is displayed > Select All (Make sure the "Origin Games" folder is not in the list) > Delete.

Restart the PC > Reinstall the newest version of EA app from here.

Reinstall DAO. > Test.

I can't delete everything out of the Temp file due to to the Steam WebHelper page running (because I use steam). I've tried closing the steam app and restarting my laptop. What should I do?

~~Sorry for so many replies.~~ But the same "File in Use" popup appears for Microsoft Edge as well. What do I do about that alongside the Steam Client WebHelper? Should I close all background apps in my settings?

Disable the Auto start for Steam and restart the machine or disable the "Steam Client WebHelper" in "Services":
Press the windows key > Write "Services" (without the quotes) > press ENTER > scroll down to "Steam Client WebHelper" > right click the "Steam Client WebHelper" > Stop.

As for Edge, if you don't start the Browser after restart it should work too.

There's no Steam Client WebHelper in services, I stopped the Steam Client Service, but it's still saying the Steam Client WebHelper is using a file. Any ideas?

On another note:
Would it just be easier to uninstall and reinstall? Or redownload the most recent version of the EA app? The temporary files issue seems to be hitting a bit of a dead end.

I have a question about this if I uninstall the EA app with Revo if I didn't install them in the App directory will it effect the other Games installed?

Did you disabled Steams auto start?

If you did continue with the guide out of the my previous post and Test afterwards
Also create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.

No, it will not, IF you have not set the location of your "EA Games" folder to be inside the EA App folder.

There's no Steam Client WebHelper option in the Services file, but I do disable the Steam Client service (which is manual and not automated).
Would it cause problems to leave the temporary files in while following the rest of the guide steps, or would I still have to delete them to be safe?
