- Make sure EA app and Steam are closed.
- Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
- Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER
- Delete the "License" folder.

Thank you for replying! I followed your steps and made sure Steam and EA weren't running in the background before deleting the folder and then launching the game (tried both through Frosty and just normally launching it) and it still showed me the Origin activation popup.- holger14052 years agoHero+
We need to vanilla the game to see if one of the mods or frosty is the problem.
Move the "Patch_ModManagerMerge" and the "Patch" folder from the "....\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update\" folder to the Desktop or a other folder outside of the game folder.
Repair the game:
(EA app: My Collection > Click on the three dots on the game cover > Repair)
(Steam: Game Library > Right-click the game > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.)Test.

I moved the Patch folder outside of the games folder but I didn't see a folder called Patch_ModManagerMerge inside Update. I then repaired the game via Steam. After Steam finished repairing the game. I launched it without Frosty and it still gave me the account activation popup.

I had an issue where the game (which I have been playing since winter 2024) for some reason just started requesting activation (April 2025), but would not let me enter my EA login credentials (either said invalid username or password, or would tell me I am offline).
Deleting "License" from the "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" folder did the trick!
Thank you
