Does it help if you delete this pack and redownload? Perhaps this will break the broken verification loop.
Neither "Delete" nor "Uninstall" are options with the DA DLC intalled via EA/Origin, David.
The only ones available are "Update", and "Repair". Tried both, as well as "Repair" for the entire game.
Nothing changed. Still get the message: "Installation Complete (Mage Item Pack)" every time I start EA/Origin.
And there is no way to remove the DLC without knowing the exact folder/file names assigned by BioWare.
The full list of DA2 "\addIns" folders is:

da2_mtx_001
da2_mtx_002
da2_mtx_003
da2_mtx_acp
da2_mtx_mag

da2_pro_pipNow, does the folder "\da2_mtx_mag" contain the "Mage Pack", or the "Mage Pack II", or something else altogether?
And even if that's the right folder, would "deleting" it solve the problem, or just create a bigger one?
I am also having this problem. Any idea why it's happening or a way to stop it?
I suppose it's harmless, but annoying nonetheless.
Same here,
I also completely unistall and reinstall the game but that doesn't solve the problem.
Nothing new? I also have this problem every time I start Origin and it began out of nowhere. Hadn't even started the game when this problem started.
- Well, it's not really a "problem", is it?
Doesn't affect the game, (or anything else) as far as anyone can tell. 😕mileywink: - sundance31us11 years agoHero (Retired)
I like to think of it as the Templars rummaging through your belongings before you start the game.
- @sundance;
But in typical Templar fashion, they totally overlook my awesome "Mage Item Pack II". 😃 I have this "problem" too. No issue really, just annoying...
I too have this issue. Clear downloads, and it pops back up shortly.
