Game Breaking: Here Lies the Abyss, cannot progress [CRASH]

Not that this will come as any great surprise to anyone, so this is mostly just for venting and/or notification on the miniscule chance anybody from BioWare is scanning through the thousands of posts...

Hi,

I encountered this today and I managed to get through by turning every graphics setting to Low and loading from the "Milestone" save created upon first entering the fade.
